How to book non-student tickets To book your tickets you will need to select whether or not you are buying your tickets through a group - for example as part of a society, halls of residence or a personal group. If you are booking through a group select your university and then the group you are booking through. Alternatively go to their own group booking page at www.beachbreaklive.com/GROUPCODE (for example). If you are not booking through a group just select the 'book now' button.
Please note that the travel options remain the same for nonstudent tickets, there is no separate camping area for nonstudent ticketholders and all the venues, arenas and activities are available to nonstudents as usual. All T&C’s are the same for all BBL 2010 ticket types.
If you are a non student, it is vitally important that you buy a ‘Non Student Ticket’. You will not get your wristband and gain entrance to the event if you have a student priced ticket and are not a student/recent graduate.
If the base price of your nonstudent ticket is not £119 (or £104 for an Early Bird) then you have not selected the correct ticket type.
If you do not have any form of university ID but have a UCAS number/letter then please bring this along or send us an email; click onto the Contact Us page of the website
Local Tickets
As a thank you to residents living in the local area if you are a permanent resident within the Carmarthenshire postcode area of SA16 or have Kidwelly in your postal address then a LIMITED number of ‘local tickets’ will be available for you to purchase. You do not have to be a student to purchase one of these tickets however you must live within the area specified and you must bring a utility bill (within 3 months) with your name and address AND photo ID as proof of age. All local ticket bookings will be monitored thoroughly and any booking that does not match the specified area will be refunded. Local ticket-holders who arrive for accreditation without a utility bill as proof of address as well as ID will not gain entry to the event.
Local Tickets will be available for purchase online in April.
Travel
After you have selected how many tickets you would like to book you will need to select a travel option: Coach, Park and Ride or Shuttle Bus from the local train station – Pembrey & Bury Port (please click on the Prices tab for info on how much you should expect to pay for the various stuff and things).
COACH TRAVEL
UNBELIEVABLY, TRAVEL TO FESTIVALS CREATES UP TO 80% OF A FESTIVALS TOTAL CARBON EMISSIONS - IF WE ALL TRAVELED TO THE FESTIVAL BY COACH, WE WOULD PREVENT OVER 250 TONNES OF CARBON HITTING THE ATMOSPHERE – THAT’S THE EQUIVALENT OF US PLANTING A RAINFOREST THE SIZE OF 4 FOOTBALL PITCHES.
We strongly recommend coach travel and do our best to keep each seat as cheap as possible. For 2011 we have introduced more routes and changed our pricing so that closer universities are no longer subsidising universities that are further away. Firm but fair.
Please note that when booking coach travel all coaches will be departing on THURSDAY 16th June (times TBC) to ensure that no-one misses a festy second when the main entertainment starts on Friday!
Please see the Prices tab for details on coach costs
PARK & RIDE
This year we are running a Park & Ride scheme to keep traffic impacts to a minimum – a facility which allows you to park your vehicle at a secured location near to the site, hop on a bus, get dropped off on site and then hop back on again when it’s time to go at the end of the festival. It keeps traffic impacts on the local area to a minimum, gives you more space to play at the festival, and protects the beautiful park land.
The Park & Ride fee is £10 per person return and this can be selected and paid for when booking your ticket. The Park & Ride area will be patrolled by 24hr security from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave and will run on Thursday and Friday and return journeys on the Monday. Park & Ride running times tbc – keep checking back for more details.
Please note: Cars will still not be accessible during the event, unless you are leaving for emergency or pre agreed reasons. So remember to bring everything with you! Full details about the arrival procedure will be sent to you prior to the event.
Please note that there is no parking around town.
TRAIN SHUTTLE BUS
This year those of you travelling by train can be picked up from the local train station - Pembrey & Bury Port, by our festival shuttle buses and dropped straight to site. On the last day you will be picked up on site and dropped back at the station. £6 return. Shuttle running times, station information and further details tbc – keep checking back.
Please note the train shuttle bus option is ONLY VALID for ticket holders that are travelling TO and FROM the festival by train. YOU WILL NEED TO SUPPLY A VALID TRAIN TICKET as well as your e-ticket. I.e. you cannot be dropped off at the station by car and then take the train shuttle bus. This is to ensure that there is no un-necessary and increased traffic in the surrounding area. If you have mistakenly booked the train shuttle bus and are not arriving by train please log back into your booking as soon as you’re able, and select either PARK & RIDE (which includes your car parking,) or return COACH.
A TRAVEL OPTION MUST BE SELECTED IN ORDER TO COMPLETE YOUR BOOKING
Under 18
If you are under 18 at the time of the event, for licensing reasons you will not be permitted entry. As with any event the security is extremely tight and access to any part of the site will not be possible. If you have accidently purchased a ticket and will not be 18 at the time of the show, please contact us as soon as possible..
*Please note, don’t bother trying to grow a bum fluff beard and hope you’re not spotted; every ticket holder must produce valid photo proof of age as well as student status when arriving at the event such as driving license or passport.
