The Main Stage
Dizzee Rascal
Dizzee Rascal is tearing up all the rule books and setting the music world alight with his raw talent. His thought-provoking lyrics, distinctively piercing and poignant delivery, and original production have made him one of the hottest new stars of the urban scene. The first official release from the 2008 Dirtee Stank camp, "Dance Wiv Me" featuring Calvin Harris & Chrome shot straight to number one in the UK charts obliterating everything in its path and heralding a new era for the hip hop impresario in spectacular style.
The Zutons
The Zutons present a musical world of mystery that includes, honking up front and centre, stomping saxophone. The addition of the horn adds a fun jazz/funk/soul edge to their off-kilter blend of scruffy British rock 'n' roll; this is music that wouldn't sound out of place on the soundtrack to a teenage werewolf comedy or in a N'awlins voodoo swamp with an audience of alligators getting down.
Mystery Jets
Headlining day 1, The Mystery Jets will bring their quirky, psychedelic brand of delicious pop/progressive rock to the Main Stage. Hailing from idyllic Eel Pie Island, the four started out as childhood friends, coming together in their passion for music. Thy Mystery Jets are living proof that sometimes nice boys do play rock n' roll. Sorry Axl....
Friendly Fires
FRIENDLY FIRES Friendly Fires make razor-sharp post-punk that burns through the memories of all the dismal, skinny jeaned '80s revivalists you've been hearing these past few years. Sounding brittle, knotty and urgent, Friendly Fires are the real deal. With no fat or padding on them at all, their songs possess an elegant sparseness not to be missed.
Ladyhawke
LADYHAWKE Ladyhawke first caught our attention with her stunning self titled debut album in 2008. This New Zealand born 80s kid plays the sort of music which the jiving crowd in The Terminator's Tech Noir nightclub sipped their pina coladas to, synths interweaving above a suitably automaton rhythm section that's almost an afterthought and with vocals floating insouciantly in a haze of neon and white powder.
Hadouken!
A band who've spent the last two years surfing the cutting edge of the music scene, armed with enough sonic ideas to make your common-or-garden indie band run for cover. The last year of Hadouken!'s hectic ascension to the top flight has seen them blow the packed Radio 1 tents away at Reading and Leeds festivals, rocking sold-out crowds touring across the UK ending in a blistering show at London's Astoria, and building an insanely devoted online fanbase.
The Whip
This deliciously dark electro-pop four piece provide a heady mix of disco beats and eighties synths guaranteed to get you dancing til you drop. There is no trickery here; no expensive visuals, no Topshop new rave outfits, no gimmicks, just an utterly in tune with the crossover electro-rock spirit of the times, creating scenes of northern rave mayhem across the country.
The Cuban Brothers
The Cuban Brothers are unique. Born of the loins of 70's Havana, nurtured on a diet of soulful, sexy tunes and inspired by Cuban historical fact and mythology – their fresh approach to live entertainment whips up a frenzy at every gig. Their legendry performance combines music, which evolves with every show, riotous comedy, both physical and observational, and sensational dancing – consequently the energy at every show is incredible.
Dan le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip
After a successful BBL 2008 Dan le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip are back by popular demand. Their debut album Angles made the most eccentric, entertaining and original debut of the 2008. In constant contention with perceived wisdom and at issue with the sanctity of pop-culture's sacred cows, dan le sac Vs Scroobius Pip have become the new faces of 'outsider pop'.
Red Light Company
What do you get if you take an Englishman, a Scotsman, a Welshman, an English-Australian (who's possibly the fourth Hanson brother) and a Japanese-American from the least-populated state in the US? Yes, a lot of sodding immigration papers but, in the case of Red Light Company, you also get a serving of dark lyrical content hiding under glorious geekcore choruses. RLC aren't as uplifting as building a kick-ass Meccano toy – they're way better; a tangled, emotional Scalextric of border-crossing harmonious guitar pop where there's definitely a smile at the finish line.
Ebony Bones
Part diva, part Technicolor Hanna-Barbera cartoon character Ebony commands the stage, looking like she eats skinny indie boys for breakfast. Take the outer space elements of Kelis and the ferocity of Spektrum and the slickness of Grace Jones then you might start to sum up Ebony Bones. She is a one of a kind Producer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and all-round femme fatale.
Dan Black
Living in self imposed exile in Paris, Dan Black meshes sounds and genres with the same fluidity, ease and cultural nous as his heroes David Bowie and The Neptunes to create his own blue-eyed culture clash of soul, hip hop, rock and electronica and the result is utterly beguiling.
V V Brown
V V Brown is a singer, a songwriter, a performer, multi-instrumentalist and a producer. In this 24-year-old's world, love sounds like the perfect melody. Both are difficult to define she says, but both pour out of the songs on her debut album. This is music which sounds like performance: dramatic, charismatic and, frequently, as mad as a box of frogs.
Esser
This Essex boy wonder looks like a Proclaimer, or a young Woody Allen in space, has been known to eat Bonjela, and evidently has, in his 23 years on the planet, had no end of problems with women. The evidence being in all of the lyrics to all of his songs; which are performed and produced using computers and composed in the key of E. It's a great key. All the top songwriters use it.
Flash Guns
Flashguns have arrived with a hatful of wisdom that belies their tender years. The proof is in their careening, guitar-driven and synth-flecked songs, which come on both charmingly melancholic and deeply thoughtful. Heavily influenced by bands such as the Smiths and the Cure, Biffy Clyro and The Killers this baby faced band will blow you away!
Zarif
Bringing together the classic song writing of Stevie Wonder with the 80s pop sensibilities of Cyndi Lauper, North London based singer songwriter Zarif creates her own brand of quirky retro-tinged soul. Named "The next big thing in British soul" - THE GUARDIAN
ACM Gospel Choir
ACM Gospel Choir was formed three years ago; utilising the students infectious talent and enthusiasm. The choirs recent achievements include reaching the semi finals of the BBC One show 'Last Choir Standing' and supporting Russell Watson in his recent tour in which he described them as 'his favourite choir' from the BBC show. The ACM Gospel Choir are keen to build on their achievements and are continuing to perform around the country at a number of charity events.

Chase & Status Ft Plan B, Takura & Rage
Since the birth of their Drum and Bass career in 2004, things have been moving extremely rapidly for this London based duo. From their debut release on Renegade Hardware (a remix of Future Cut's 20/20), a continuous output of quality music has followed, catapulting Chase and Status into the premiership of Drum and Bass. We are proud to announce CHASE & STATUS featuring PLAN B, TAKURA & RAGE. These guys are on the rapid rise to stardom. Tracks that have featured heavily on Radio 1 & music channels are 'Pieces' and their latest 'Against all Odds'.
DJ Yoda
DJ Yoda is one of Britain's most admired and original club DJs and an AV pioneer who is constantly pushing the possibilities of audio-visual manipulation. Encapsulating the very essence of good times, DJ Yoda has transformed clubbing as we know it, throwing down styles as diverse as Hip-Hop, Funk, Baltimore Club, Drum n Bass and even Country music, all cut-up with a awe-inspiring selection of film, TV show and You Tube visuals that elevate his sets to the uniquely sublime.
Scratch Perverts
Tony Vegas, Prime Cuts and Plus One are the Scratch Perverts - a name that has become synonymous with HipHop and battle DJing ever since their formation in 1996. Their reputation as one of the world's most progressive DJ collectives is unparalleled; two consecutive World DMC Team titles, Plus One's World DMC Champion and World Vestax Champion titles, Prime Cut's back to back World ITF Scratching crowns, and countless showcases and gigs all over the world.
Krafty Kuts
Inspired by the hip-hop and electro sounds that were rocking his world, Martin Reeves, AKA Krafty Kuts, first stepped behind a pair of decks when he entered a DJ competition and incredibly, as a complete novice, he made it all the way to the final. Today Krafty Kuts is without doubt one of the world's greatest DJs. Lauded in the UK, worshipped in Australia, acclaimed in America, where ever he plays he is guaranteed to cause a commotion with his riotous skills.
Caspa and Rusko
Brought together by a love of each other's music, Caspa (25-year old Gary McCann) and Rusko (22 year old Chris Mercer) are considered part of a new breed of dubstep talent, sweeping the deep furrows of ground laid bare by peers like Digital Mystikz, Iration Steppas, Kode9, Skream and Benga, mixed with their own jump up comical party fresh and somewhat relentless sound.
Tayo
Tayo is a familiar face on the breaks scene where he can safely lay claim to helping shape the nu skool sound in the late 90's alongside fellow breaksters Adam Freeland and Rennie Pilgrem. Although happy to rock any breakbeat dancefloor worldwide he also likes to indulge his wider musical taste. He was co founder of, and one of the residents at Basement Jaxx's seminal Rooty club night in south London, playing out every year on the terrace at Space Ibiza with friend Frank Tope as the Rooty DJ's, and rocking festivals from Homelands London to Creamfields Buenos Aires with his house music hat on.
The Count & Sinden
Joshua Harvey and Graeme Sinden are the London producers behind The Count and Sinden. Perhaps better known for their single, 'Beeper.' The earworm can be directly traced back to The Count and Sinden's love of everything from Baltimore club, hip-hop, electro, Miami bass and grime. The Count and Sinden don't care all that much about genre tags; their goal is simply to rock the party.
Craze and Klever
On top of his untouchable turntablist skills and scratch champion showmanship, the world has also recognised that Craze is a second to none club DJ. Klever is a prominent American turntablist and 2 time US Disco Mix Club champion. Joining forces Craze and Klever have travelled the Globe together and have released a now cult classic … Scratch Nerds…
Freestylers
Freestylers' sound is exactly as their name suggests: a heady blend of brash, hip-hop-inspired grooves resulting in a hypersonic amalgamation that knows no barriers. Flitting between the grooves of dance, reggae and hip-hop styles, Freestylers craft a raw yet infectious aural melting pot that shakes dance floors and headphones around the globe.
Jack Beats
The brainchild of Beni G (Mixologists) and Plus One (Scratch Perverts), Jack Beats represent everything we love about the new wave of British house music. Wobbly basslines, big breakdowns and edgy accapella's are cut, copied and pasted together to create a floor-filling brand of house that's bound to rock the festival its very core.
The Nextmen
An unholy splicing of uncompromising hip-hop, funk, reggae and razor sharp beats. Doing 'more scratching than someone with a hell of a lot to scratch'! Possibly the best hip-hop act in the UK with two internationally successful albums, countless singles, remixes and bootlegs and their own record label Custom Records.

Nick Annand & Greg Fleming AKA Deekline & Wizard have spent the last five years building a reputation as one of the foremost production outfits in electronic music.. Deekline's unique and ground breaking sound blows up parties the world over, sending shockwaves through the industry leaving others inspired and following in his footsteps. He has become an iconic name within the breakbeat, Miami bass and dance scene, creating his own unique sound of breakbeat with an electro twist.
