If you’ve got a special talent that you think the world should know about, let us know. Whether you’re a mathematical genius, lyrical lunatic, poignant poet, cutting comedian, fledgling actor, film producer or puppeteer then Beach Break can almost certainly accommodate you. Forget about trying to launch yourself on You Tube with a viral video that you made on your phone. Beach Break is where it’s at. This is where stars are made, lunatics lost and comedians created!

There are a limited number of slots available, your performance can't involve complicated instrument changes (we've gotta keep the night flowin') and there won’t be a sound check earlier in the day or anything like that......this is seat of your pants performance!

We'll have microphones, a drum kit, bass and guitar amps and a keyboard you can use. Feel free to bring your own guitar or bass or kazoo or trombone or meat flute or whatever it is you use, just remember it must be quick to set up!

The Beach Beats Battle

2011 saw the third edition of the Beach Beats Battle. The Beach Beats Battle gave DJ and music societies the opportunity to be programmed into a venue at Beach Break Live over the three days. Giving your djs the chance to play out to the crowd and show those other Uni’s who’s top!

The Ghetto Blaster was rammed to the rafters with revellers to witness the fine liquid notes humming into the arena thanks to the great work of Cardiff’s One Mission Society, Exeter’s Beats & Bass, Blackhouse from Aberystwyth, Upbeat from Plymouth, as well as other student djs from all over the country.

2012 with see the battle return in force – new and improved! It’s simple to enter all you need to do is sign up your night or society as a rep on the Beach Break Live homepage http://www.beachbreaklive.com/faq/148 and let us know you want to be involved. want to be involved. This year we’re getting even more of you behind those decks. EVERY society will get the chance to showcase their dj’s as standard but for those societies that sell the most tickets, drop the hottest mixes, plan the best parties and bring along the biggest crews Beach Break will provide the latest and longest set times for you to do a full takeover!

The fight is always fierce at Beach Beats Battle – don’t forget that for every ticket you sell you are also earning your committee free places and your society money!
