Fire up the trumpets and give the drummer a nudge........ It is with unbridled joy that we unveil the new home of Beach Break Live.
For more than 4 years, the BBL mistrals have wandered the UK coast line on the quest to find the perfect home for the festival. Last summer the mighty Red Dragon revealed her best kept secret and the pursuit for beach breaker paradise ended as we discovered a utopian land of unrivalled beauty... Pembrey Country Park (Carmarthenshire, South West Wales)

PEMBREY COUNTRY PARK
Pembrey Country Park boasts 500 acres of epic wood lined parkland nestling behind the dunes of the award winning Beach Cefn Sidan Sands and surrounded by 2,000 acres of forestry. The beach is recognised as one of Europe’s finest with 8 glorious miles of pristine silky sands set against the spectacular backdrop of the Gower Peninsula. Brace yourself. We sincerely believe this to be the most amazing festival location on planet earth.
NO ORDINARY PARK
It can’t possibly get better than this.... we hear you cry. Incorrect. For the general fun seekers and adventurists out there, the park has a 130 metre dry ski slope, the longest toboggan run in Wales, Go Ape tree courses and death slides, Zorbing (a ridiculous activity), golf courses, and horse riding on the beach. On our trips out of the park into Carmarthenshire you’ll get world class surf breaks, coaststeering, rock climbing, canoeing, the list goes on.
8 MILE BEACH
Just a hop skip and a jump over sand dunes where there will be all manner of aquatic and sand related tomfoolery from lying prostrate and doing absolutely nothing to kite boarding, land sailing and windsurfing to Thai style beach parties, sand castle building, BBQ’s, tentative toe paddling, Cafe Del Mar chill out action, cocktail supping and of course the *obligatory British human lobster impression making.
Friends and Country men, Pembrey Country Park will enable us to create a festival like literally no other. 2010 is set to be BBLs golden year
THE IMPACT ON THE SURROUNDING AREA
The opportunity to run a festival in such a remarkable location is an honour and we take the responsibility of this very seriously. As organisers we will be working very hard to make sure the event brings real benefits to the local community and economy and does not cause disruption. Over the past years beach breakers themselves have earned a reputation for being decent folk and for respecting the environment and communities where the events have taken place, so it goes without saying that we will keep up this tradition as we move to Wales. For more information on this please see the story and ethos section of the website
