BBL MAIN STAGE

A main stage with a view...

Kick back and bask in the Cornish tropics by day, as you gaze into the distance, watching as the sun drops behind the main stage into an ocean dotted with tiny distant islands. As the dusk works its magic on the atmosphere and the tempo builds, the starlit sky plays host as the headliners rock your world

THE FOREST OF KERNOW (In association with BLYK)

The Forest of Kernow is our main dance arena. Imagine ‘A Midsummer Nights Dream’ but with beats! Giant toadstools for dance podiums, twisted vines for lighting rigs and giant butterflies for backdrops! This is one forest you’ll TRY to get lost in and lose yourself in the lush leaves, gratuitous greenery and friendly ruling fairy folk (they’ll be pouring your drinks!).

Prepare for dances amongst the branches as thousands gather for killer dance acts and other assorted folly amongst the foliage

Our mercurial music marquee, AKA Club Tropicana, this year hosts 'ACM Presents...'

With BBL signature cocktails in hand, ebb and flow to the coastal breaks with sand between your toes on our dance floor of made of dunes!

This year we have partnered with The Academy Of Contemporary Music (ACM) to bring you the hottest new bands. From mid day to mid night, The ACM will suprise and delight with their cutting edge programming.

In the early hours, mirror balls sparkle and things get tastier than a Pina Colada in Paris, as Club Tropicana morphs from North Cornwall to South Pacific. This is your cue to get down in a glam, grass-skirted, neon ‘n’ naughty 80’s beach holiday way. Tunes on the dunes courtesy of Madonna, Jacko, Wham, Dolly Parton & every one hit summer wonder you’ve ever fallen in love to….

(FYI - In Club Tropicana drinks aren’t free. However, sun and laughter are in abundant supply)

THE LOST GARDENS

Set in secluded gardens, with an ocean backdrop, The Lost Gardens are a place of beauty that will delight the senses night and day.

Swing low in a hammock, loose yourself in a maze of beautiful yurts or bubble in Dutch hot tubs whilst your sip warm chai, enjoy incense-infused live world music in bohemian bliss

Hooes Yurts will be setting up the beautiful Lost Gardens with their stunning Mongolian-influenced tents, forming a very unique place to chill out in sumptous surroundings and listen to some acoustic folk or world music.

THE BARN

Some might say the hub of our Beach Break Community; the eye of the storm, the kernel of the nut.

In true Beach Break style, we’ll be hosting an entire venue in a big old oak barn built from scratch!

Celebrate all things riotously rural; folk music, country & western, theatre, comedy, Cornish pasties, cream tea, beer by the barrel…and more gingham than is really appropriate. Chew straw, stomp your feet and doh-see-doh your partner. Whilst being overlooked by a giant flying pig, obviously. Certain events from The Mghty Cornish Goblet will be hosted here which are:

Pass The Pigs World Championships
The world cup student championship’s is here. Bring on the Double Leaning Jowler’s and the Oinker’s. With heats held over the first two days and the opportunity to enter into the grudge matches, the aim of the game is to compile a higher score than your opponents by throwing two large pigs and landing them in crazy yogic positions. The grand final will be held on the last day crowning the new student world PTP champions!!

The Giant Pig Piñata
This is a version of the classic Mexican game but with a Cornish twist. In-between the heats of pass the pigs the piñatas will be rolled out for the audience to attack. There will be some nice and nasty surprises, be warned!

Scarecrow Building
Once you have seen the shabby mess of a scarecrow you’ve created, our scarecrow police force will be out to get the worst offenders. Scared! Not really…..

THE STARGAZER

Ahh, the tranquilty of solitude! The Stargazer is a magestic tower in the sky, offering those who climb in search of enlightenment, 180 degree views of the eternal ocean by day and infinite stars by night. Kitted out with star gazing essentials; telescopes, duvets and a star chart. The perfect place to fall in love, with or without company

WORLD INSPIRED TENTS

These stunning structures will be forming the BBL ‘Hub’. This will be where you can buy your BBL gear, get essential information, sign up to activities and adrenaline pursuits or generally find a friendly ear when you need it.
