Beach Break Live 2009 was in full swing with some of our best venues to date including the mighty BBL Main Stage, Residential Dance Home, Moustache Bar, Chai Wallah’s and many more. So fear not, we’ve decided to keep much of the magic of 2009 but we’re adding in some new venues for BBL 2010, plus some chill out zones and more hidden venues (Keep checking back for updates)
THE DELL MAIN STAGE
Kick back with a cold cider or dance like no-one’s watching (apart from the 17,499 students behind you). Stretch out on the grass during the day and at night party like its 2010 and all to your favourite live bands and acts. Guaranteed musical joy for the soul...
MERLIN'S FOREST
I'm sure the Mystical Welsh legend Merlin would approve of our biggest most impressive dance tent in Beach Break history. Reach up to the sky as you dance amongst the dreamy daffodils and thumping tunes. The usual Beach Break magical madness will not disappoint!
BBL & ACM PRESENTS... The Record Shop
Introducing our new ‘new music’ stage - come and revel with the up and coming stars of the future whom not so long ago were in your muddy Havianas, dreaming of being on that stage! The all new BBL & ACM Presents venue is all about ‘the music man’ and the chosen ones will surprise and delight you with their cutting edge performances. Remember kids, you seen it here first...
CHAI WALLAH
It came, you saw, you very much enjoyed. As did we. So Chai Wallahs is returning for 2010, hurrah! Whether you just want to rest your dancing feet, catch up with a cuppa or fancy shisha and a stomp, Chai Wallah has been meticulously programmed to provide you with all the fantastical festival essentials. Previous artists that have graced the Chai Wallah stage have spanned the musical spectrum from dancehall to ska, hip hop to soul, jazz to pop, reggae to…you get the drift! This year the stage is set to host an equally eclectic mix of exciting and exhilarating artists.

THE RESIDENTIAL DANCE MOTOR HOME
This year will see the heavy weight of the gargantuan residential dance motor home come roaring up from the depths of the welsh hills. Over the last year these ancient residents have taken deep their underground journey, to bring you, the hottest concentration of UK student sound. Get in and let the helms folk fuel your wonder, in the cavernous Residential Dance Motor Home.
The creme de la creme of student dance societies and nights will be bringing you a mash up of dance music; from grimey dubstep to funky electro, pounding drum & bass to soulful reggae. Feel the different vibes these societies bring as they showcase their talent through their resident DJs.
For those that were with us last year you'll be thrilled with the news that the stout now has a girl friend... hurray!!!
THE GHETTO BLASTER (The Deuce Soundsystem)
Cuddle up to our GIGANTIC Ghetto Blaster and blow all your cobwebs away! With the 20kw DEUCE SOUNDSYSTEM and spectacular lasers this outdoor dance stage is all about showcasing up and coming (top notch) djs from around the country who are breaking boundaries and providing the most current genres to get your stomp on to. Not to forget, each evening finishing with cutting edge underground headliners who will leave your ears buzzing with excitement and your body (all the way to the very end of your nose) shaking with bass. If the mainstream gets too much ...... this is the place to break free and do what you really want to do!
DEUCE SOUNDSYSTEM ONLINE
THE MOUSTACHE BAR
An intimate little treat of a venue for you but be wary, moustaches of the biggest, bushiest, smallest and sleekest variety are required to gain entrance into this joint. Real and fake beard gentrification accepted. Fear not if you hail from the land of Teet, we have our very own fully qualified Master Beardsmith on hand to add a few curls to your Chevy Chaces. Playing host to the Silent Disco and workshops from ballroom dancing to the art of burlesque, cabaret shows and comedy, and providing aural delicacies spanning swing to rock and roll and jazz to jive - come and find out how Grandpa and Grandma got hitched all those years ago. This is the land of decadence my dears, so cigarette holders at the ready, pinkies out and let the good ol’ days roll on! Oh and Betsy, chips and dips sil vous plait…..
THE BOAT
This venues beach location cannot be beaten. Once this outdoor band stand gets the wind in its sails, there won’t be any stopping her. From sea shanties to steel bands, folk to gypsy, hearty wailing to slap dash, this is where legends retire and boys become men. Ebb and flow to the coastal breaks with sand between your toes on our dance floor made of dunes! An acoustic sound and a laid back vibe flavour the soundtrack to your daylight beach experience.
THE LOST GARDENS
Returning for its fourth year, the Lost Gardens is a place of beauty that will delight the senses night and day. Swing low in a hammock, relax those dancing muscles with a massage, lose yourself in a maze of beautiful yurts, enjoy incense-infused live world music in bohemian bliss, exercise your brains with a debate or two, or pop in the tepees for some time out.
THE VINTAGE FUNFAIR
Whooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooosh back in time to days gone by when you could get an ice cream for tuppence, a cut throat shave, bike to the candy store on your penny farthing or play hop scotch in the street. Well we’re not doing any of that but we are bringing you some traditional vintage fun fair joy. But if you're too cool for 'old school' then there are some of them modern numbers to make your knuckles white too!
THE LEEKY SHEEP
For the first year ever, BBL is adding a pub to its mallay of tropical establishments. Sumptuous local beer, mini beer festivals, pub quizzes, karaoke, open mic, late night jamming sessions with Jam Tart and a whole host of pub like activity will all take place in the ‘The Leeky Sheep'. Oh, and yes, what is a pub without a spot of footie...World Cup stylee. Scampi Fries anyone?

BOLLOCKS TO POVERTY
Every year ActionAid take their Bollocks to Poverty experience on the road and give festival goers the opportunity to fight poverty and injustice by doing something they love, and this year, global hunger is top of the hit list.
The tent provides Beach Breakers with a relaxing hangout, complete with comfy seating, giant games like jenga and connect four, table football and ping pong, DJ’s until 12am and of course lots of lovely free Bollocks to Poverty stickers, badges and tattoos! But most importantly, the ActionAid tent gives festival goers the opportunity to support people fighting their way out of poverty.

BEAT REDEMPTION
Bournemouth, Brighton & London based club event 'BEAT REDEMPTION!' will be hosting its very own music tent at this years BEACH BREAK LIVE festival! Armed with a selection of their talented resident DJs, a bunch of upfront live acts and some very special guests; BEAT REDEMPTION will be providing a 4 day party in one of the most beautiful parts of the British coastline!
Beat Redemption wouldn't be the same without the famous Cowabunga Festival acoustic music Yurt, which will be conveniently placed within crawling distance from the music arena! Also joining the party are the Technicolor Moon illustration collective, who have some very exciting LIVE art and graffiti shows planned.
